DESCRIPTION

The JLD-3 is a compact, ruggedised, variable-output remotely-controlled AC power supply designed to serve primarily as an incandescent light dimmer.  

FEATURES

Dimmer's main features are continuous output voltage adjustment, no moving parts, no phase- of high frequency switching with resulting near-zero EMI. The method used is a multi-tap transformer with solid-state, zero-voltage tap switching. The whole system is under a microprocessor control resulting in a total user-transparent, smooth adjustment.

APPLICATIONS

The JLD-3 Light Dimmer has been designed to operate with maximum reliability to MIL-SPEC requirements in Naval tactical environments.
Full protection against short-circuited output and overload provides both security and simplicity of operation. This extremely reliable light dimmer is suitable for fixed or mobile military applications, because of its ability to withstand the high shock, vibration and temperature conditions encountered on most military platforms.
